There’s magic in the air now. Not in the sense of fantastical, unwarranted change but as readiness for innovation that opens life’s natural serendipity. This month, June, we are on the threshold. July is when radical change grounds.
Key to any aspect of life is what we think or believe about it. In the quantum universe – the tiniest energetic elements of life – a particle carries any possibility. To use an analogy: it could be black, white, grey, or black and white. It doesn’t stabilise and take form until there’s an observer and then it forms according to that observer’s belief about it.
If you really reflect on that, that’s astounding. It changes everything! It means nothing is stable or ‘solid’, without your belief in it, or the consensus belief in it. All life, including everything we believe to be material, (including yourself) is energy vibrating at different frequencies, from dense (appearing physical) to light.
We’re approaching a New Moon at 24 Gemini at on 03.54BST on Monday. Before that, exact on Friday 12th at 08.30BST, Awakener Uranus at 2 Gemini is square to the Lunar Nodes, North Node at 2 Pisces, South Node at 2 Virgo. These three signs are mutable: spontaneous, flexible, receptive. So this aspect is a point of destiny where we are called to replace any habits of micro-managing, catastrophising, controlling or fixing (Virgo shadow) with trust, surrender & faith in the bigger picture (Pisces) by becoming awake to our mental perspective (Gemini).
Think of the ocean. Are you focused on the wave that will soon change and disappear, or the vast beauty of this body of water?
Similarly, become aware about your process with thoughts. Just one thought, given energy, can create a perceived problem, a fixed energy wave. When ‘problem’ is merely one possibility in an ocean of them. When you focus on this, it can feel like a solution is out of your hands. Yet that very feeling of powerlessness can open a resolution you would never have considered. I’m talking about surrender and serendipity. That’s the magic happening.
Surrender is not powerlessness; it is recognising the answers lie beyond your current consciousness.
When you open in spaciousness, you enter a different stream of consciousness where magic is possible. Of course, that calls for trust, ‘hands off’ and receptivity – the qualities and frequency that will provide a match for what is endeavouring to come in. Hanging on through belief, emotion, or will is the block to receptivity. For magic to happen, there must be spaciousness. Openness with compassion for your human desire to control.
Awakener Uranus is currently at 2 Gemini. Uranus is where change begins to occur from light frequency to system to material form. Reading Elias Lonsdale’s Star Destiny degree for the current placement of Uranus, I’m astounded. The symbol is ‘A Dense Thicket of Brambles surrounding a Magic Castle.’ It begs the question: Are you stuck on the brambles, or battling to clear them? Or are you acknowledging: the magic castle is already there; that needs to be my focus?
Perception, and how we act from it, is key to this aspect, the upcoming New Moon and July’s powerhouse shifts. Changing the ways you think, changes everything. This is where the power of evolution truly lies now.
Gemini is the sign of perception; what we see, how we think, and what we communicate about what we see or think. Its symbol is the twins: duality. Duality either as black and white, right and wrong, or as human and spirit. So, this New Moon similarly calls you to recognise and shift what you’re thinking and how it affects your relationships and/or your life.
Gemini is an air sign, so moves flexibly and quickly. It’s the sign of curiosity. It requires stepping beyond our Taurean (the previous sign) comfort zones and discovering something new. Gemini does not seek confirmation of ‘life as I already know it’, but genuinely wants to discover new possibilities. Like a butterfly flowing with subtle air currents, it’s free, spontaneous and allows itself to be carried.
This is the first New Moon in Gemini with Awakener Uranus also in Gemini. It supports us in sowing the seeds of possibility in a personal way in the bigger picture of Uranus’s seven-year passage through Gemini.
Time to follow your curiosity, or a nudge from your intuition. With Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, now on its upcoming retrograde shadow, there’s something very close to home, i.e. to your heart & soul, that is calling for new light.
