This month’s New Moon heralds one of the most important periods of this rare year. It opens the gates to liminal space, defined in the dictionary as being an intermediate state, phase, or condition, a threshold. Many clients are speaking to me about this feeling of a threshold; one described it as ‘standing on the edge of a precipice’. As the New Moon in numinous Pisces indicates, we are more awake than ever to the Mystery of life and its unknowability.
Mystery is the truth of life. No matter how deep we go into the science of new physics, or out into the cosmos, we cannot put Life neatly into any kind of mental framework. Yet we can know that Mystery within ourselves…. dissolving into it, beyond any concept of individuality. Be immersed and blessed in it; be nourished by it.
Pisces is the sign of the Mystery, where life dissolves to reappear in new ways & forms in Aries. It’s where we let go, forgive, surrender to a higher power, or simply give up. It’s the ocean of consciousness from which we emerge and where we always return (in meditation, altered states, sleep and death). It’s where we go with the flow, surrendering to ‘what is’, allowing our old ways of being to dissolve and new ones to simply emerge. Pisces represents the ocean of soul where profound faith is to be found, along with every illusion you can dream up.
When we’re in liminal space it’s vital to be aware of what we believe. It’s essential to be awake to the information we take in and what we do with it – how we can create mental illusions, emotional reaction, conflict & chaos. For we are co-creators are we not? Pisces is the realm of all possibilities, so practicing discernment is wise, even a requirement, if we are not to get lost in the mindscape.
This New Moon is important as it’s an entry point into the upcoming Pisces-Aries flow through this year and beyond. Pisces as our soul’s potential & the dissolution of what has served its purpose, and Aries as the arising of new life in a body, with its vehicle of ego.
We could see these ongoing transitions as a life/death/birth process. Like the phoenix we are being resourced to rise in new beginnings through the surrender of our old ways of being. This evolutionary process is strongly activated now through both personal planetary retrogrades and outer planetary shifts.

Neptune is resourcing us in deep soul wisdom, capacity to trust & flow within the Mystery
– Wise Elder Saturn crosses the Equinox point from Pisces to Aries (29-year cycle) 25 May, moving between Aries-Pisces-Aries early September to February 2026.
Saturn helps us find our anchor when uncertainty rises & to act with maturity on our soulful knowing.
The period from now to mid-May particularly is about a high frequency embodiment potential that calls us to finer spiritual maturity. Personal planets Venus & Mercury are exactly that – personal – and it’s rare that they retrograde together over almost the same degrees.
This indicates that individually we are immersed in a demand to explore both our mentality and our values – what we give life to through our beliefs, principles and actions. To address what has served its purpose, to move into both deeper faith & full engagement of life’s promise. We are resourced in seeing beyond the veils and acting on what we see. All these evolutionary processes, whatever their frequencies, are calling us to be the living bridge of consciousness and humanness. To be that bridge, we must live well with uncertainty, letting go our futile attempts to manage or control the huge processes that really grow us.
This flow between Pisces-Aries is activating both our Feminine & Masculine consciousness in new ways, our capacity to receive, flow, let go and the initiative to act courageously on what we discover.
Asteroid Psyche is also involved in the Venus/Mercury retrogrades. In mythology, Psyche was called through various trials by Venus to grow from her innocent state to maturity, self-knowing and full individuality. The Pisces-Aries transitions are energising Psyche’s tests for us, both individually & collectively. The human psyche is undergoing a maturity experiment. Are we ready? Are you ready? Yet liminal space requires we rest in the unknowable whilst we also navigate the vagaries of life in a body. Isn’t that always true? It’s even more so for the next two months.
