Chiron moves into Taurus today, for a brief period, returning to Aries from mid-September to April 2027. It’s a major shift of frequencies & focus that may appear on our collective stage in the short-term, certainly in July, however it’s subtle right now. More tangible are the aspects occurring around Chiron’s movement – the dance between the Aries and Cancerian energies in our body-beings.
Chiron’s trajectory crosses the orbits of Uranus and Saturn. It therefore acts as a messenger & connector between the outer planetary frequencies & our human systems. Uranus represents higher frequency consciousness, innovation & freedom, whilst Saturn is holding our current systems and the supposed boundaries of our physical world.
Saturn governs what we perceive to be our limits & the rules of our human systems; Uranus is the rule-breaker. Chiron, through his mythology & his orbit, is linked to what we must sacrifice (the current paradigm), where we suffer (the letting go & maturing process), in order live more consciously (Uranus).
The key with Chiron is to consciously be & embody the interface of change (Uranus), & the status quo (Saturn). This is the ongoing process of evolution, individually & collectively. It’s an edge that we dance on.
We can all see that what Saturn represents is falling apart. This is happening to allow Uranian energy more freedom within our systems, personal and collective. That happens through chaos, as multiple outer planetary alignments shift. Chaos is always an aspect of change. The more tangible changes personally now involve Jupiter in Cancer (moving to Leo) along with Mercury, and then Chiron’s return to Aries. What does this mean within our lives? Let’s explore.
Jupiter, planet of growth & expansion, currently sits in watery Cancer, moving to fiery Leo on 30 June. Leo represents individuality. It is where the developmental foundation of individuality takes form. This is psycho-somatically from birth through childhood: Aries (birth – I am, I act/react), Taurus (physicality & this is what is mine), Gemini (learning & communication) to Cancer (emotional belonging). Leo is symbolised by the Sun and the heart; both sit at the centre of Life. Therefore, Leo represents the foundation from which an individual meets the world & expresses in it.
Rooting in Aries (who I am) and Cancer (where I belong) is essential to the evolving expression of Leo individuality. Both are connected intimately to Taurean rootedness (my resources, both inner & material). So how we respond to the current major cycles is dependent on the seemingly smaller one – Messenger Mercury retrograde in Cancer, late June to August. Representing the mind, Mercury is one of the lenses of perception through which we experience. It represents our processing of thought to communication.
Cancer is the sign that governs your emotional world: vulnerability, self-nurture & intuition, along with the aspects of life that represent security: relationships, home, family, and a sense of belonging. Cancer is also the container of the past – memories, losses, nostalgia, family themes and ancestry, with all its patterning, along with addictions related to food or nurture.
Ruled by the Moon, Cancer is where we meet daily fluctuations in the tides of our personal lives.
Centaur planet Nessus in Pisces is also involved in the current planetary mix. His symbolism is connected to poisons (addiction and/or victim patterns) both familial & ancestral. With these placements we are called to deepen our understanding of both personal & collective wounding – the archetypal themes of being human – and transmute them. Through this, we may deepen our roots in commitment to wellbeing.
Without healthy flexible emotional roots, we can be adrift in a sea of uncertainty & instability. We can feel lost & vulnerable especially in times of great change. Taking good care of yourself on every level is essential. This is the way of the Sacred Feminine – to nurture every aspect of the cycle with Love. To recognise that true wellbeing includes both a ‘yes’ and a ’no’. To hold space for the cycles of death, life, and rebirth, much as Mother Nature does.
To know who I am (evolving), where I belong, or where my roots lie, is essential in these intense times of uncertainty. It’s vital to recognise that stability in your inner world is your anchor in times of collective instability. Knowing your own value & having awareness of your resourcefulness – as a human & divine being – is the foundation. Not allowing the distractions of a fading failing world to entrance or rock you. Or when they do, knowing how to find balance.
Understanding that the personal elements of these planetary transits are also collective is vital. We are called to hold space as transmitters & transmuters for humanity. To do that, being rooted in wellbeing & belonging are essential.
Ultimately, as I see it, we are here to tenderly cultivate a sense of belonging both to universal consciousness and our humanity. And to do that in tangible grounded ways of being. Good questions for this next month: How am I feeding & nourishing myself? How am I honouring my soul? Where is vulnerability guiding me to deeper roots? What do I need to act on – in terms of a committed yes or no – to be in more presence to myself? Where is an uplift in family connections needed?
It is in our personal world that we create a conscious foundation to respond to bigger-picture themes. It is where we can feel we are contributing to collective shifts in small yet profound ways. Small islands of coherence can shift the whole. You are needed. Knowing what you need & meeting that is key. It changes everything.
