A Fresh Direction

By September 12, 2024No Comments

The final eclipse in the Aries/Libra nodal cycle is imminent, 19.49BST on 2nd October at 10 Libra. This eclipse offers the potential of a gathering up of the evolutionary shifts we’ve been making in relationships (both to oneself and others) since the first eclipse of this series at 0 Aries in March 2023.

Eclipses often herald surprises. Like taking the first step in a new adventure, we cannot know how the road will unfold.

If we have been listening well & doing the work of transformation in the last eighteen months, this eclipse can make evident the real changes that have been taking place inside. What’s been gestating has room to emerge and express itself, taking us by surprise perhaps. You know that moment when you recognise a new quality of authenticity, a boundary or capacity to co-create coming out of your mouth. Where there’s been a struggle, ease happens, and you surprise yourself.

Where there’s been deeper difficulty in relating, or where you’ve been treading water, this eclipse may present a watershed. It’s a recognition that despite fear or vulnerability of the unknown, you simply cannot go on in the same way. Reactivity reveals a gift – perhaps the recognition of being untrue to oneself, or of trying to make connectivity happen when it’s simply not there.

Venus, Goddess of Love, rules this eclipse at 11 Scorpio and Aphrodite, her Greek face, is conjunct the Lunar North Node at 6 Aries. This suggests deep integrity in love is the answer to any current challenges.

It’s about going to the core of perception, honouring emotional wisdom and most of all, making a conscious choice to act based in what is revealed. Sugar-coating the truth, making allowances for self or others must make way for authenticity. When we align with truth revealed, we are supported all the way. When the heart is open, all possibilities exist.
