Full Moons bring us to the peak of a cycle of experience every month. This upcoming Full Moon – at 27 Aquarius 19.26BST on 19 August – offers us the synergy of several cycles, so is perhaps the most influential Full Moon of this year.
Much as there are different frequencies and rhythms within our solar system, human beings experience their self in diverse ways. We encompass multiple ways of being and expression – through mind, heart, instinct, will, intuition, physicality, soulfulness to name but a few. This Full Moon stretches us between some of these different avenues of experience – visionary mind, heartfelt generosity of spirit, wise perceptive knowing, our shadows, and our comfort zones, how we enjoy life, perhaps where we feel secure. That stretch is an aspect of a more expansive cycle anchoring at this time too – our desire to be stimulated and grow, to lighten up, with the good challenge that brings to any tiredness, apathy, or stagnation.
So many are sharing with me how exhausted they feel right now. Me too, at times. It’s a naturally human aspect of these intense evolutionary times. We are being lovingly challenged to discover a deeper centre of power within any tiredness – not in denial, in meeting it with loving care, whilst also opening as the infinite space of possibility we truly are. It’s a delicate synergy. Yet it’s also a gift in disguise, for when are usual relied-upon resources are low, we have the potential to discover new ones. To surprise ourselves, to know ourselves in new ways. This is the Full Moon for that!
Key focus: Your authentic heart as the central point of your system. Heart is known as ‘governor’ in Chinese medicine. In astrology, where Leo rules the heart, it’s the point of integrated individuality. To be integrated, mind, body, will, and all other avenues of self-knowledge are called to meet in the heart.
This requires subtle discernment of what is most needed where, within your individual system… as you’re reading this, you will know what aspect of self needs more heartfelt awareness, a bit more loving attention. Viewing all your vehicles as sacred, which usually misses out? Go there…. explore, expand, discover, through devotion, with your expansive heart. Befriend that aspect of self that you have less affinity with. There’s a key to this new cycle of embodiment awaiting. We’re called to engage it!
